The sheepy and wooly side of Maryland Sheep and Wool

Hello, wool friends!

I was at the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival last week. It's been two years since the event was held in-person, and it was wonderful to be able to be among wool people again. Even cold weather and heavy rains on Saturday didn't keep the crowds away.

I was there to give a lecture about the adventure that led to my book Vanishing Fleece. But I also welcomed the opportunity to see old friends, connect with my mentors, and touch as much wool as I possibly could. It was a balm.

Come walk through the show and see some sheep and wool with me.

Enjoy!

Clara

p.s. – For the record, I highly recommend riding in the back seat of a car that's been stuffed with massive bags of fleece. None of them were actually mine, alas. But it was the best ride I've ever had.
